Bommenwerper is a game in which players place bombs in a grid based world in order to get powerups and enliminate other players. In this game, players can move in the four compass directions while laying bombs and collecting powerups to use to their advantage.
Bommenwerper was developed in JAVA for an APCS final project. It was developed in a time frame of four weeks to satisfy all the requirements outlined in the project requirements. Some of the challenges faced by the team include getting images and sprites to be displayed an animated, implementing a thread with a list containing the currently pressed keys in order to move the players around, and programming an AI that actually presents a challenge.
