At Diplateevo, we believe that knowledge should be accessible, practical, relevant, and affordable. Polyglot is a program that aims to do just that. According to the dictionary, polyglot is a term that is generally used to describe a person who has the ability to speak multiple languages. By giving away free books, the goal is to help and assist subscribers to see multiple perspectives about themselves and the world around them. The main idea behind polyglot is that once a book is finished, it should be freely passed on to someone else who can spend some time with it too. That way, we embrace the idea of connection and idea sharing.
The giveaway couldn't be simpler! We will randomly select one person off of the email list every month, and mail the book to you. (Completely free of charge)
This Month's Book
The Education of Millionaires – Michael Ellsburg
Personal impressions - This book addresses the characteristics that really matter in the world. It talks practically about how to find people to learn from, how to build your network, and how millionaires do it. This book doesn’t simply teach you what to learn, it shows you how to learn.
To me, this book helped me see different facets of personalities and work ethic that really make a difference in the world, beyond what is taught in school.
About the book – Some of the smartest, most successful people in the country didn’t finish college. None of them learned their most critical skills at an institution of higher education. And like them, most of what you’ll need to learn to be successful you’ll have to learn on your own, outside of school.
Michael Ellsberg set out to fill in the missing pieces by interviewing a wide range of millionaires and billionaires who don’t have college degrees, including fashion magnate Russell Simmons and Facebook founding president Sean Parker.
This book is your guide to developing practical success skills in the real world: how to find great mentors, build a world-class network, make your work meaningful (and your meaning work), build the brand of you, and more. Learning these skills is a necessary addition to any education, whether you’re a high school dropout or graduate of Harvard Law School.
